The Ada County Coroner identified the body of a woman discovered in a Boise alley earlier in the day as 23-year-old Laneva Roderick, but said the cause of death had yet to be determined. Boise Police have had very little to say, at least publicly, about the discovery of the body of a woman in an alley off of Fairview Avenue.

Law enforcement and emergency responders were summoned to the 8400 block of Fairview, west of Milwaukee Street, just before 10 a.m. Monday and that's where an employee of a nearby business said the body was discovered between a building and a wooden trash can holder.

Lynn Hightower, public information officer for the Boise Police Department, said late Monday that the woman's death did not appear to be the result of foul play.

Detectives have spent the better part of the day on the scene and as of late Monday afternoon, police said that the investigation was ongoing, the probable cause of death had yet to be reported by the Ada County Coroner's office and the woman's identity had not been made public.
