Meanwhile, a separate tragedy involving water was averted Wednesday thanks to a Boise mother's CPR efforts after her 18-month-old daughter was found floating in a backyard pool. Emergency responders took over CPR efforts when they arrived on the scene near Milwaukee Street and Goddard Road and rushed the child to a local hospital. Firefighters and paramedics said Wednesday evening the child was awake and injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
