Need Something To Do Monday?

As the distinction between Idaho's urban and rural areas blurs, the state's strategy for managing farmland, pasture, grazing areas, residential zones and downtown cores must evolve. Today from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho (COMPASS), David Shabazian, a member of the Sacramento Area Council of Governments, will discuss land use and development in areas like the Treasure Valley in a talk titled, "How Rural Economies Complement Urban Economies."

The event is free and intended for a general audience. For more info, visit the COMPASS website. RSVP with Jessica Wilson at, or call 208-475-2230.
