As the distinction between Idaho's urban and rural areas blurs, the state's strategy for managing farmland, pasture, grazing areas, residential zones and downtown cores must evolve. Today from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho (COMPASS), David Shabazian, a member of the Sacramento Area Council of Governments, will discuss land use and development in areas like the Treasure Valley in a talk titled, "How Rural Economies Complement Urban Economies."
The event is free and intended for a general audience. For more info, visit the COMPASS website. RSVP with Jessica Wilson at email@example.com, or call 208-475-2230.
