OK, Treasure Valley cyclists, mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug. 17—that's when the annual Tour de Fat rolls back into Boise.
That's right, the popular celebration of bikes and beer will be back for it's 14th tour, bringing with it the morning bike parade, live music and assorted merrymaking.
The New Belgium Brewing event is all about two wheels, and each year, organizers look for a volunteer willing to give up his or her car for a year in exchange for one seriously sweet bike. If you're interested in filling that slot, log on to the tour website and enter your application.
The tour is cutting down from 15 stops in 2012 to just 12 this year. The Boise stop will come between events in Minneapolis and Fort Collins, Colo.
Can't wait for the fun? Check out some images from last year's event.
