It's a disappointing day for Boiseans who were hoping to catch funnyman Louis C.K. perform in Boise. The comedian just announced he has canceled his show Thursday, March 7, at Taco Bell Arena.
In an email sent to ticket-holders, C.K. said he was nixing his Boise show because he picked up a movie role.
Here's his email explaining the cancellation:
Dear person who bought a ticket to my show in Boise or Colorado Springs. First of all, thank you so much for buying that ticket. Second of all, sorry. The show is canceled. The thing is, I got a part in a movie all of the sudden so I need to go do that on those days. I hope you are not too disappointed. I promise (sort of) to come to Boise and Colorado Springs as soon as I can. In the meantime, I really am very very sorry that I got a part in a really cool movie and so I can't come do those shows for you. If its any consolation, the movie pays about a 10th of what I would have made on the shows. So at least I'm losing tons of money.
Tickets will be refunded within 48 hours. Any questions, please go to http://www.etix.com/ticket/online/help2.jsp
Well, that's it. Be well. See you soon.
A call to Taco Bell Arena staff confirmed C.K. had canceled the show. Because the comedian handles ticket sales through his website, those looking for a refund should not call Taco Bell Arena, but should refer to his website for more information.
