The holidays are over, and it's time to get back into the rut that is everyday life. Gone is the gift-giving, the champagne flights and the caustic appeals to your holiday spirit.
Now it's time to figure out what to do with the children. During the holidays, your child was kept aloft by a tide of indulgence. "Sure," you said, "play with your new toys. Eat candy." Those days are over.
Today, send your 2- or 3-year-old to Toddler Wednesday at the Boise Art Museum, where kids will use shapes, lines and letters to create images based on Troy Passey's art. The event is just the right length, lasting from 10 a.m.-noon, so you won't have to worry about your young'un getting bored. The event staff warn parents to dress for a mess and bring along a container if they want to keep the artworks their children make.
The event is free with the price of admission, which is $5 for adult non-Boise Art Museum members and free for the children.
