The opening is a limited one. Only Deer Point, Morning Star, Showcase, Pine Creek and Coach chairlifts will be running along with the resort's two magic carpets. Conditions are described as "early season," but considering Bogus will make the much sought-after Christmas week opening, anything is good news.
Lifts will run from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily and an adult day pass will be offered at a discounted rate of $30 until more of the mountain is open, when the price will go up to the regular $48. In addition to the main hill, the Nordic Center will also be open, but more snow is needed before the sledding hill or night skiing can start for the season.
The ski and snowboard school, rental facilities and the JR Simplot and Pioneer lodges will also be open.
