Brundage will be offering free lift tickets from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday as part of a summer opening celebration that includes food at the lodge and the debut of the new four-cross bike course. Not only can bikers take advantage of the ride to the top, but hikers and sightseers can hitch a ride, too.
Those without a mountain or freestyle bike can rent one at the lodge and have the honor of first rides on the resort's new rental fleet.
Vendors will be on hand with displays at the lodge, and a barbecue will begin at noon with food and drink available for sale.
Resort officials say of the area's trails will be open for the event, but warn that there may still be a patch or two of snow.
Check out the Wednesday, July 4, issue of Boise Weekly (which actually hits newsstands on Thursday, July 5) for more information about the resort's summer season.
