Treefort Music Fest, which goes down in Boise March 22-25, has dropped some serious bombs with the lineup so far, scoring headliners like Of Montreal and Built to Spill, as well as buzzmeisters like Mr. Gnome, Typhoon and Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside.
Treefort today announced another round of bands that will perform in the festival, including some locals.
Representing the local scene will be:
The Brett Netson Band, the solo project from Built to Spill's guitarist.
Teens, Boise's diaspora of surf-punks.
Wolvserpent, don't call them Pussygutt.
Grand Falconer, up-and-coming indie-folksters.
QP, local electronic duo.
And joining the melee of invading out-of-town bands will be:
The Hive Dwellers, the new project from K Records founder Calvin Johnson.
EMA, San Francisco-based country goth.
Y La Bamba, progressive Portland indie with a Mexican folk flair.
Koko and the Sweetmeats, Seattle rock and roll.
Araabmuzik, Providence's finest beats.
