But just on the off-chance you're not feeling either, there's some great music to be heard at The Venue.
Pennsylvania trio Good Old War, take the accordion, acoustic combo in a pleasantly fresh direction, by not going the Gypsy stomp route. Instead, they offer glittering indie-pop ballads complete with harmonized backup vox and lulling arpeggios. While the sound draws heavily from folk, it isn't. The songs are comfortable like the finest of pop, but without a hook that you're unable to purge. At times, the rhythms are percussive, somewhere between tribal and the aggressive guitar-playing of Ani Di Franco, but they somehow manage to stay smooth. Some all-around great stuff you'll kick yourself for missing. And right in the heiney to boot.
Show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10. Audra Mae and Yukon Blonde open.
