Shooting Beauty, which will be screened as a part of DisAbility Rights Idaho’s inaugural event Walk a Mile in My Wheels, follows the story of Courtney Bent, who arms over a dozen people living with extreme disabilities with modified cameras to document their lives over the period of over a decade. Tony Knight, one of the film’s stars, will provide an introduction to the film via Skype. Director and Producer George Kachadorian and Project Founder and Producer Courtney Bent will also be on hand for a discussion with the audience.
Appetizers, live music, and a silent auction will also be a part of the event. All proceeds go to DisAbility Rights Idaho, which works to provide advocacy and legal services for people with disabilities in Idaho. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
