Motorcyclist Charged With Leaving Injured Woman At Crash Scene

Thomas Macfarlane, 22, is charged with leaving the scene of an injury crash.

A badly banged-up Boise man is behind bars and faces a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident after a seriously injured woman was found lying in a Boise yard July 7.

A man walking his dog said he found the woman lying between some shrubs and a driveway on Manitou Avenue, south of Boise Avenue. The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital with what police called potentially life-threatening head injuries.

Police linked the woman to a motorcycle crash that had occurred in the same area. Police said they found a wrecked scooter-type motorcycle at the scene and there was a short trail of blood but they were not able to initially determine who had been on the motorcycle. The female victim was found several hours later about a block and a half away from the scene of the crash.

Police ultimately arrested 22-year-old Thomas Macfarlane of Boise, who was known to the woman. He was booked into the Ada County Jail for leaving the scene of an injury crash.
