A North Central Idaho man, accused of child abuse, was himself the victim of battery when the mother of his children admitted to running him over with her car during a domestic abuse incident.
This morning's Lewiston Tribune reports that 33-year-old Greg Elwell was accused of battering a 2-year-old boy in November 2012. Shortly thereafter, police said 30-year-old Swan Mandujano—with her two children in the vehicle—ran over Elwell "two to three times" in a Lewiston store parking lot. Elwell was reportedly not severely injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, Elwell's charges of domestic violence were dismissed earlier this month, while Mandujano pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery and sentenced to 14 days in jail and a $100 fine. A judge in Lewiston's 2nd District Court even dismissed a no-contact order between the two.
