UPDATE: Two Arrests In Connection With Robbery, Prostitution Incident Near Downtown Boise Hotel

Fernando Santos, 33, and Kaylan Speers, 25, are charged with robbery. Santos is also charged with trespassing.

A Boise man and woman are behind bars in connection with a robbery that occurred early this morning in the area of the Red Lion Downtowner Hotel. Law enforcement initially said that the robbery occurred while a man was seeking prostitution services.

Fernando Santos, 33, and 25-year-old Kaylan Speers, both of Boise, were both charged with felony counts of robbery. Santo was also charged with trespassing.

Police offered no further details "due to the nature of the ongoing investigation."

Boise Police are investigating the robbery of a man while he was seeking prostitution services near a downtown hotel.

Law enforcement was called to the area of the Red Lion Downtowner Hotel at 18th Street and Fairview Avenue early today. Police said the crime did not take place in the hotel.

Police have identified two suspected individuals involved in the incident and added that the alleged robbery did not appear to be random.

Police said there was no known danger to the public while they interviewed the individual at the hotel and that hotel operations were proceeding normally.
