Wolf Hunting Returns Tomorrow

The lives of approximately 1,000 gray wolves will change dramatically tomorrow, as the Gem State opens another wolf hunting season.

Hunting will commence in 13 of the state's wolf management zones. Licensed hunters are allowed to buy two tags per calendar year, costing $11.50 for Idaho residents and $31.75 for nonresidents.

Gray wolves could be reconsidered for federal endangered species protection if their numbers fall below 150 individuals or 15 breeding pairs.
