Nearly a year after the Idaho State Police's Alcohol and Beverage Control division completed a six-month sting operation in assorted strip clubs around the valley, the ISP has issued a series of fines and suspensions to offending businesses.
Here's the final results of the investigation into whether sexually oriented acts actually happen at strip clubs. The Torch, fined $15,000 and a 30-day liquor license suspension. The Torch 2, fined $10,000 and a 21-day liquor license suspension. Spearmint Rhino, $10,000 fine and a 21-day liquor license suspension. The Kit Kat Club, fined $5,000 and a 30-day liquor license suspension. The Buffalo Club, fined $15,000 and a 15-day liquor license suspension.
The original investigation included a swipe at The Big Easy Concert House, for a one-time male dance revue performance. The inclusion of the popular downtown concert venue raised eyebrows, as well as claims of a vendetta against the club. After an appeal, the venue is serving a 15-day liquor license suspension and paying a $15,000 fine.
