When the load in front of you weighs more than half a million pounds, stands nearly three stories high and spans two-thirds the length of a football field, you can just forget about getting anywhere anytime soon. Just as Idaho's Transportation Department was about to give the green light to ConocoPhillips to move the giant loads across U.S. Highway 12, Second District Judge John Bradbury, who clearly has been in the middle of his share of roadblocks, said wait just a pea-pickin' minute. The whole mess is expected to shake out in front of Idaho's Supreme Court. But four ConocoPhillips loads is a just a drop of oil on the driveway compared to the more-than-200 that ExxonMobil wants to ship across central Idaho. FYI, each is about the size of a T-Rex.
