We hope this one will become an annual event. Organizer Mark Rivers asked local performers to apply for a strip of sidewalk where they were welcome to sing, dance, joke, eat fire, juggle, yo-yo, mime, etc ... The public was then invited to come down and watch. A metal trophy dubbed the Curb Cup was to be awarded to the act with the most wooden tokens awarded by the viewing public. The numbers are varied, but between 120 and 130 acts performed and 15,000 to 30,000 attended. Regardless of the exact counts, it's fair to say the event was a huge success.
