Idaho loves its nonprofits. Proof positive was this year's edition of Idaho Gives, which saw donations to 589 charitable organizations. And in the Treasure Valley, we have a particular space in our hearts for the Women's and Children's Alliance which, for more than a century, has provided safety, healing and freedom from domestic abuse and sexual assault. The WCA offers shelter, transitional housing, care management, court advocacy, safety planning, financial literacy and two 24-hour hotlines—one for domestic abuse and another for rape crisis—to our most vulnerable neighbors. wcaboise.org
