Best Local Seafood

Lucky Fins

Idaho isn't exactly a coastal state, but that doesn't stop local restaurants from serving top-notch seafood. Open a menu at Lucky Fins and you might be confused to see Asian, Cajun, Mexican and classic American options all in one place—that is, until the common denominators become clear: fresh ocean critters and reasonable price tags. The slightly unorthodox choices—lobster tater tots, anyone?—are half the fun.

2nd Place: Fresh Off the Hook—Fresh Off the Hook is owned by a fisherman, which is probably why every dish has the briny hint of something just reeled in. Plus, the service is fast and friendly, making either location the perfect choice for a fish and chips lunch.

3rd Place: Reel Foods Fish Market and Oyster Bar—Reel Foods is as popular for its lunch menu of sushi, fish sandwiches and oysters as it is for restaurant-quality seafood on ice. Both options are so fresh (as in, trucked in daily), you'd think they reeled them in themselves.
