Best Local Jewelry Store

Lee Read Jewelers

Readers' Picks

There was a time when Boise and Meridian were actually separate and it didn't take 45 minutes of sitting in traffic to get from one to the other. Back then, Lee Read Jewelers occupied a storefront in the Idanha Hotel. The shop opened in 1963 in 55 square feet of space. Today, Lee Read is still a family owned business, but it now lives in a location that helps bridge the gap between Meridian and Boise, at the Eagle exit. The store got a little bigger--about 20 times bigger--and offers every style of jewelry imaginable, from contemporary styles to classics to custom-made heirloom pieces.
