Best Local Ethnic Market

Basque Market

Bring on the pintxos (Basque for "tapas")! The Basque Market remains one of our readers' favorite places to linger over a glass of wine, some appetizers and dessert or peruse shelves packed with unique take-home goodies from the Basque Country. If you've never been, you have to go and try some of the best meat/seafood paella for miles and miles (Wednesday and Friday afternoons and Thursday evenings).

2nd Place: Campos Market—There's nothing upscale about this Orchard Street mainstay, but you can expect to have some of the best tacos in the Treasure Valley. The produce is always fresh and the meat counter in back offers a great selection of tongue and tripe.

3rd Place: India Foods—Don't let the modest facade of India Foods deceive you. Inside are long aisles of amazing spices, sauces, teas and unique grocery items. It's a must-see destination for any xenophile.
