Best Local Ethnic Market

Boise International Market

Readers' Picks

Boise's Best Local Ethnic Market became one of the City of Trees' greatest tragedies on Sept. 6, when a two-alarm fire gutted the building. BIM opened its doors in November 2014 and in less than a year, it had established itself as a cultural hotspot with numerous restaurants and retail businesses, which were owned by new Americans from around the world. Community efforts are under way to aid businesses affected by or lost in the fire, and there's talk of rebuilding the market itself. We call that an example of thinking globally and acting locally.
