Best Local Clothing Store

Banana Ink

A local fixture since 2011, Banana Ink fills the shelves and racks at its Boise and Nampa locations with clothing "made for people who live in and love Idaho." Customers adore the wide selection of men's and women's wear stamped with the iconic Banana Ink logo: a gun that fires trees instead of bullets. "One of my favorite interpretations I heard from a customer is 'Idaho is loaded with trees,'" said owner/designer Lana Roth. "I can't think of a simpler way to describe the design." banana-ink.com

2nd Place: Dragonfly—Cindy Beauclair, the owner of Dragonfly, once told Boise Weekly she'd been instructed by a consultant to "go out to the mall and absolutely not invest in downtown." It's now 25 years later, and not only can the store claim some of the most loyal customers in Boise, downtown wouldn't be downtown without Dragonfly. facebook.com/dragonflyboise

3rd Place: Outdoor Exchange—The great selection of bikes, gear, backpacks and sleeping bags are matched only by the selection of high-end used clothing, which has been bringing more and more customers inside Outdoor Exchange. outdoor-exchange.com
