Bye Bryan Fischer. When the man BW dubbed Boise's own theocrat took a job in Mississippi, many breathed a sigh of relief. Despite some comments on BW's Web site, we do not begrudge Fischer his paid gig. No, our beef is that he tried to tell us how to act and inserted his beliefs into our political system for way too long. But it's not just us: Fischer's former colleague, Dennis Mansfield, announced in the Idaho Statesman that with Fischer's departure, the religious right in Idaho is leaderless. Mansfield observed that the house the religious right built in Idaho is empty and offered to turn off the lights.
