Have you ever wondered about beekeeping and the importance of honeybees to agriculture and food production? In this class you will learn basic bee biology and what beekeepers do to work with bees’ natural behaviors to ensure that the bees survive the many threats they face in today’s world. You will get hands-on experience with the various tools beekeepers use to manage their bees, basic bee hive construction, the process of extracting the honey from the hives, separating the honey and how to bottle the honey.
