Because Treefort: 2019 Festival Announces Official Schedule and More Bands

The view from the top of a Treefort Music Fest artist announcement is like the view from the top of a mountain, but from basecamp, the festival's reveals of hundreds of artists at a time can be intimidating. After the third (and supposedly final) announcement Feb. 7, festival-goers expected to contend with a 432-band lineup. But on Friday, Treefort released its official schedule—and more bands, bringing the total to 441.

Other key points from the release: The bands will be distributed between 22 venues across downtown Boise. Ten will be open to all ages, two will be open to people 18 and over, and the rest will be for people ages 21 and up. The main stage will open on Thursday, March 21, this year. Treefort headquarters have moved to the former location of Renaissance Furniture at 1507 Main St., where, on Thursday, March 7, the festival will throw a free, all-ages "window walk" party with Timber Giant beer, tickets and merch for sale.

Folks looking to explore the artists and forts can download the Treefort app on the Apple Store or Google Play.

Treefort will take place Wednesday-Sunday, March 20-24.
