Sa-Wad-Dee Thai co-owners Toffee Dullaphan and Fon Tavijaroen have a new Asian venture: Rice Contemporary Asian Cuisine in Eagle.
The menu will feature entrees and appetizers from India, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and China. Dishes include fried green beans with sweet chili and sriracha sauce, Korean bulgogi, Japanese tonkatsu and tofu kimchi fried rice.
"We offer authentic flavor and authentic recipes with the fun and twist of contemporary presentation," said Tavijaroen.
Rice is located at 228 E. Plaza Street, Suites Q and R, in the former River Rock Ale House space in Eagle. It's open for lunch and dinner Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m., and Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-midnight.

Moving across the Pacific to Hawaii, former Ono Hawaiian Cafe chef-owner Michael Mohica decided to move Kanak Attack Katering to a new dedicated space in the Woman of Steel building at 3640 W. Chinden Blvd., Garden City.
"We needed a bigger kitchen just for the volume of catering that we do," said Mohica, who also plans to open the venue for cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners and other events. And when the weather gets warmer, the Kanak Attack food truck will be parked out front. The bakers at Guru Donuts will use part of his kitchen to create their donuts, as well.
"We decided we're going to open it up for smaller caterers and food trucks that can't afford to get their own place," said Mohica.
Moving from kalua pork to Texas-style barbecue, Bodacious Pig Barbecue plans to open mid-March in the former Smoky Mountain Pizzeria Grill location at 34 E. State St. in Eagle.
Owners Tricia and Joel Anderson are in the process of painting the building, restoring the wood ceiling and replacing the old take-out window.
Joel uses a dry rub and then slow-smokes his meat Texas-style in a barbecue pit.
"It's cooked each day, and when we run out, we're out," said Tricia.
The Andersons polished their barbecue chops traveling in the South, and owned a restaurant in California for six years.
