Woman of Steel is Also Woman of Coffee
The Woman of Steel Gallery is the brainchild of welder/artist Irene Deely and the concept is part art gallery, part bar and completely original. Come in for a glass of wine and watch Irene coax art from steel. And now, as of April 5, the Woman of Steel Gallery has new, earlier hours, with espresso lattes and muffins from Java to help you start your day. New hours are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Breakfast and art-cool.

"Easter Ham Love Your Leftovers" Contest
If you're staring down a picked-over Easter ham that you don't know what to do with and can't bear to throw away, or if you have an awesome leftover recipe you've been keeping in your back pocket, here's an incentive to rethink that hunk of pig. The Pork Information Bureau is having an "Easter Ham Love Your Leftovers" contest. But if you enter, you'd better do it for love of the game-not financial gain-because there's no cash prize here, just a year's supply of ham for the grand prizewinner and "The Other White Meat" aprons for 25 also-rans. Entry deadline is May 31.
For more contest information, contact the Pork Information Bureau, P.O. Box 9114, Des Moines, Iowa 50306, 1-800-937-PORK, www.theotherwhitemeat.com.
