Another Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle; Fourth in Two Weeks

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the late night hours of April 22, making it the fourth such incident locally in two weeks.

Garden City Police say a woman in her 50s was attempting to cross four lanes of Chinden Boulevard near 41st Street when she was hit by a vehicle. She was not in a crosswalk. She was taken to a local hospital where she was reported to be in stable condition.

On April 19, a 36-year-old Kuna man was struck and killed while crossing Ustick Road near Curtis Road in Garden City.

In the early morning hours of April 13, a 31-year-old Boise man was struck and killed by a vehicle while he was attempting to cross State Street near Veterans Memorial Parkway.

And on April 8, a 64-year-old Boise man was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking on Development Road near the Boise Airport.
