UPDATE: Another Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle, Third in Two Weeks

Garden City Police identified the victim of an early morning accident at Ustick near Curtis roads as 36-year-old Brian Slagle of Kuna.

Slagle was in critical condition at a local  hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Ustick. Police said they were unsure if Slagle was crossing in a crosswalk before being struck. The driver of the vehicle was also injured, according to police, and was taken to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

A pedestrian was rushed to a Boise hospital in the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle, the third such accident in less than two weeks.

Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Curtis and Ustick roads. That's where witnesses said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle just before 2 a.m., April 19. It was unclear whether the person was using the marked crosswalk at the intersection. The victim's identity has yet to be released.

Dwayne Poulton, 31, of Boise was struck and killed April 13 by a vehicle in the pre-dawn hours while he was attempting to cross State Street near Veterans Memorial Parkway.

Joel Eggers, 64, was killed April 8 after being struck by a vehicle while walking on the west side of a road near the Boise Airport.
