And Before You Don't Hear it Somewhere Else...

The Pentagon released new details on Friday, June 3, confirming that U.S. guards at the Guantanamo Bay prison actually did kick, write obscene words in and urinate on Qurans belonging to Muslim prisoners (or more specifically, a guard's urine soared through an air vent and happened to splash on a detainee and his Quran). Surprisingly (or perhaps not), no violent protests have yet been reported. And, coincidentally, don't bother trying to compare the amount local coverage dedicated to this release with coverage of the recent Newsweek retraction. The score would be "none" to "pages upon pages."
