This week's Alive After Fives makes a turn at the corner of Blues and Soul wih Boise native John Nemeth and his endless amount of throwback soul.
With a harmonica, a fancy suit and a smokin' set of pipes, it should come as no surprise that Nemeth’s decade long career is still going strong. Having started singing in a church choir, Nemeth played regularly in his early teens performing with several acts around Boise as well as playing as Fat John and the Three Slims. It wasn't long before he graduated to world tours and opening spots for legendary names such as Robert Cray, Keb Mo’ and Earl Thomas.
Magic Touch, Nemeth’s Blind Pig Records debut was released in 2007 and forged his path towards blues, pop and funk revival. Songs such as Blues Hit Big Town and the title track offer smooth, catchy jams for blues enthusiasts old and new.
