As with people, you can judge a band by the company it keeps. As guitarist for the famed New Orleans-based Dirty Dozen Brass Band and the trio bearing his name, Jamie McLean has toured and played with the likes of Elvis Costello, Gregg Allman, Aaron Neville, Dr. John, Blues Traveler and Taj Mahal, and rocked sets at Madison Square Garden, Bonnaroo and Fuji Rock in Japan.
McLean left his "bread and butter gig" with the Dirty Dozen more than 10 years ago to form his own band, and it was a brilliant decision. JMcB's distinctive style of blues, rock and soul has served it well and the band has released six albums since 2006—including Live At Gibson, recorded at the famous Gibson Showroom in New York. According to the band, "Live and in front of a captivated crowd is where JMcB truly shines." Boise crowds, prepare to be captivated.
