A Boise man was killed early Friday morning in an SUV crash in Garden City. Police said the incident was alcohol related.

"This is a sad reminder that if you've been consuming alcohol, don't drive," said Garden City Police Lieutenant Tom Patterson in a prepared statement. "Once you begin drinking, your judgment is impaired and you may make a horrible decision which could result in injury or death to yourself or others."

Police said there were three occupants in the vehicle: the driver, who suffered serious injuries; a back-seat passenger; and a third passenger, a 34-year-old man who died in the crash. No identities have been released and no charges had been filed by late morning.
