A Boise man faces felony drug charges after nearly four dozen marijuana plants were seized at his Boise Bench home Jan. 14, in what Ada County Sheriff's deputies said was a large-scale and sophisticated pot trafficking operation.

Mark Foster, 41, of Boise, awaits a Jan. 29 court appearance, when he'll face felony charges of marijuana manufacturing and trafficking. Deputies said the bust came after a months-long investigation into the operation on the 3800 block of Rose Hill Street. Authorities seized dozens of marijuana plants, 1,400 grams of pot trimmings, grow lights, heaters and irrigation equipment, and several items that were evidence of drug sales.

ACSO said the "sophistication of the irrigation, heat and light systems indicates the growing operation had been active for significant amount of time."

Foster bonded out of the Ada County Jail to the tune of $40,000.
