2004 IDAHO TRIENNIAL AWARDS

Nearly 300 artists and Boise Art Museum members attended a special reception last Thursday for the Idaho 2004 Triennial with juror Arthur C. Danto, a New York author and art critic for The Nation and Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Columbia University.

Five artists received awards from the juror, including cash prizes, a purchase award and a solo exhibition at the Boise Art Museum.

And the winners are ...

Ted Apel: Solo exhibit at BAM and $1,000

Charles Gill: $500

Jennifer Williams: $250

Geoffrey Krueger: $250

Lori Dagley: Purchase Award, BAM Permanent Collection

Organized every three years by the Boise Art Museum, the Idaho Triennial is a juried exhibition that examines contemporary Idaho art. The exhibition is on display at Boise Art Museum through March 13. Selected works will then travel to the Herrett Center for Arts and Science in Twin Falls and the Prichard Gallery in Moscow.
