Mixtape: Anthony Doerr, 'All the Light We Cannot See'

From award-winning (and super nice) local author Anthony Doerr comes All the Light We Cannot See, the story of German orphan boy Verner and blind French girl Marie-Laure and how their lives intersect during World War II.

Set in the "walled citadel of Saint-Malo, France," All the Light We Cannot See is a "masterful novel 10 years in the making about World War II, blindness, children, a mythical diamond, the power of radio, Hitler Youth and the Resistance, and the ways, against all odds, we try to be good to one another."

Locally, Doerr's upcoming book tour includes a stop at The Linen Building on Tuesday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. and one at Meridian County Library on Wednesday, Aug. 27, time TBA.

More information about the book and additional tour dates are available at Doerr's website.
