The Idaho Humanities Council wants to give you money.
The council is calling for proposals for mini, major and Teacher Incentive grants, as well as research fellowships for organizations and individuals. The deadline is Sept. 15, and applicants are being encouraged to contact the council's staff ahead of that date to discuss project ideas.
There are four levels of grant awards:
Teacher Incentive Grants are available to K-12 teachers teaching humanities, and are limited to $1,000.
Mini grants are under $2,000, and are typically awarded to museum and library programs, conferences, exhibits and other events.
Major grants are over $2,000, and, like mini grants, are available to individuals and organizations arranging conferences, organizing events and producing exhibits.
Research fellowships support scholarly humanities research and are limited to $3,500. They're used to defray related expenses like travel, lodging and access to special archives.
