World Cup 2014 is on and it's taking the world by storm. Like the Olympics, it happens every four years, so even folks usually unexcited by soccer get in on the action. And unless you're in Brazil for the games, the best way to watch it is on a big screen.
Head to Village Cinema for the World Cup viewing and fundraiser for the Centennial High School soccer program. A portion of the proceeds benefit the soccer teams so you can enjoy the sport while helping local youth.
4 p.m. $10-$25 suggested donation. Village Cinema, 3711 E. Longwing Lane, Meridian, 208-846-8463.
