At Treefort Music Fest 2013, The Walkmen delivered a dynamic performance in what was likely one of its last few shows. In an interview with The Washington Post several months later, The Walkmen’s Peter Bauer announced the band—together nearly 14 years—would be going on “a pretty extreme hiatus,” although members will work together on other projects.

Co-bassist/organist Walter Martin’s debut solo album We’re All Young Together (Family Jukebox) is slated for release Tuesday, May 13. Tracks feature appearances by Walkmen bandmates Hamilton Leithauser and Matt Barrick and other music luminaries including Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs in the sweet yodel-y ode “Sing to Me.”
