The Boise River is an iconic piece of B-town. Its winding curves and sandy shores entertain you in the summer as you float down with your cooler of legal beverages, and the Greenbelt invites you to take a stroll or ride any season when weather permits. Boiseans and visitors alike adore the river. It's like an old friend that happens to be a substantial body of water.
Research hydrologist Charlie Luce wants to share his discoveries with you regarding the river and how it is affected by climate change. He will discuss streamflow, aquatic habitat and the effect on the water supply. Go and take in what he has to share and float with confidence the next time you venture on the water knowing you're a responsible, river-loving citizen.
