The Simpsons Might Live Forever

If The Simpsons' kids aged, Bart would be twice divorced; Lisa would be accepting a Nobel prize; and Maggie would be headed to grad school. But the bright-yellow family living at 742 Evergreen Terrace are unmarked by time and now, thanks to a new deal with FXX, they may very well be immortal.

The animated show, which is currently in its 25th season, will be available for streaming and VOD. According to Vulture, "The deal begins next August, when the recently launched FXX will begin airing the 530 episodes from the animated icon's first 24 seasons. At the same time, FXX will begin streaming The Simpsons on the soon-to-launch FXNOW mobile app, while also offering the show via video on demand."

Deadline reports that FXX paid $750 million for the rights to The Simpsons, an "enormous deal" made possible because of the number of Simpsons episodes. .Fox has "greenlighted a 26th season," so by September 2015, nearly 600 episodes of the show will be available.
