Something You Should Do Friday.

Ten-year-old Boisean Lula Coe is battling stage IV Wilms tumor, a rare childhood cancer that has affected her kidneys, liver and lungs. During the past year she's endured several rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, lung surgeries and a bone marrow transplant, just to name a few procedures. She's been through more than some of us will experience in a lifetime.

One of Lula's favorite things is the 1982 animated feature film The Last Unicorn. Starring Mia Farrow, Jeff Bridges and Christopher Lee, the film is based on a story by author Peter S. Beagle.

Beagle is one of several people bringing the movie to Boise for Lula. The special screening will take place at 2 p.m. at the Edwards 22 on Overland. The event is free but seating is very limited. To attend, email boise_event@conlanpress.com with your full name, phone number and the number of seats you'd like to reserve.

Following the screening, Beagle will meet with fans at Rediscovered Books at 4:30 p.m.

2 p.m. FREE. Edwards 22 Theater, Boise, 7701 W. Overland Rd., Boise, 208-377-9603.
