Even 30 Rock's Kenneth Parcell couldn't have predicted the impact a TV show would have on its fans.
About 200 people flocked to an Albuquerque, N.M., cemetery Oct. 19 to bid farewell to the fictional Walter White with a funeral ... complete with a "makeshift gravesite" and headstone.
Though the funeral was a fundraiser for Albuquerque's Healthcare for the Homeless—the event raised nearly $17,000—a few people with loved ones actually interred at Sunset Memorial Park feel the event was irreverent and disrespectful.
Manuel Montano, whose son is buried in the cemetery, told Albuquerque TV station KOB, "This is a place of mourning. It's not a spectacle."
