A Portland, Ore., band is preparing something ambitious: a 24-hour world tour.
Modern Kin releases its latest album, Hello, World, Tuesday, Oct. 22. Following the release the band will live stream seven shows for seven time zones between Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25-26, beginning at 7 p.m. Pacific Time Zone.
The shows are released at 10 p.m. in their target time zones, beginning with the Eastern Seaboard, followed by the Midwest and the Pacific United States.
The performances, however, will only be available by streaming, not to be recorded. According to the band's website, "HELLO, WORLD is ephemeral, like a live performance has been since the first musicians. Each event will happen and then be gone—no recording, no coming back to it later."
