Artists from around the world have long been drawn to the Wood River Valley for its natural spaces, burgeoning art scene and comparative solitude.
For the first time, many of the area's artists' studios will be on display during the Wood River Valley Studio Tour. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19-20, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., a selection of artists in Sun Valley, Ketchum, Hailey, Bellevue and beyond throw open their doors to the public in celebration of the region's unique artistic history.
Fifty-five artists are set to participate, including photographer Kevin Syms, plein aire and studio artist Kathryn Riedinger, printmaker Gay Odmark and sculptor Mark Sheehan. A brochure, available here, orders the artists by category and provides the locations of their studios.
The tour itself is free and open to the public.
In addition to the tour, there is also a reception with the artists scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, from 5-8 p.m. at Wood River Fine Arts, located at 360 East Ave., Unit 2, in Ketchum.
