The downtown farmer's market offers plenty of wares to eat, use for decoration and... wear. Not much in the way of reading material, though. Walk a block or two from the goat-milk bath soap and mini donuts and you'll find the retail shops of downtown, providing other options for busy Boise folks looking to bring something home.
One of these shops is Rediscovered Books on Eighth St. and local author John O'Hagan will be on hand to discuss his new book Lands Never Trodden, which explores the Franciscan missions in California and the stories they hold.
FREE. 11 a.m. Rediscovered Books, 180 N. Eighth St., Boise, rdbooks,org.
