Need Something To Do Saturday?

Traffic is hell. Don't believe us? Just watch the Michael Douglas revenge-against-society flick Falling Down. Before State Street and the I-84 connector became twin rush-hour nightmares, the Treasure Valley had an electric railway, which connected Boise to Meridian, Eagle, Nampa and beyond, between 1891 and 1928.

Barbara Perry Bauer, co-author of Treasure Valley's Electric Railway, will be at Rediscovered Books today starting at 11 a.m., where she'll read from, discuss and sign copies of her book about the early years of Treasure Valley public transportation. Admission is free, but copies of the book are $22.
