Working hard to appeal to the under-21 Electronic Dance Music crowd, Seductive Saturdays is a new event focused on highlighting younger local talent. The event will go down every Saturday from 8-11:30 p.m. for those 15 and older, and then transition to 18 and older from 11:30-2:30 a.m. at Happy Land Club & Culture, located at 8001 W. Fairview.
Sam Kissee, a.k.a. Kissee, will perform at Seductive Saturdays Saturday May 4 with Cameron Delange and Qix. Kissee has been mixing for just over a year and is making big strides in the local EDM scene. Closely tied with the Kangior brothers, owners of Transcession Studios, Kissee played his first show during a fundraiser for Neon Oasis, a three day camping festival.
Kissee’s techno beats were first inspired by Curtis Porter’s 2010 Esthetic Evolution set. Now, Kissee has moved into mixing mid-tempo glitch with purple dubstep. To help spread his passion for EDM music, Kissee has joined the effort to get Transcession Studios off the ground.
“As much as I love mixing, my goal is to become a well-known producer,” said Kissee.
Recently named a resident DJ at FML Thursdays at Fatty's, Kissee has opened for Harvard Bass, Flinch and AC Slater at the Revolution Concert House.
